Each product can be offered with various standard ingredients with options to remove some items, or add extra toppings and side dishes, specify the way it is cooked, what bread and sauces they would like to be served with the meal, and how well chilled they would like their wine. They could also specify what time they would like their meal served and whether it is dine-in, or dine out.
If you offer catering facilities, with a few modifications, they could also specify whether or not they need the meal delivered, date and time of delivery, the delivery address, and whether or not they require waiter service for their meal. How it works:
The full menu is entered into FoodCourt, complete with a list of ingredients making up each main item, plus any available toppings, sauces, side dishes, etc. Where appropriate, options are entered for each item, such as "how well cooked," "type of dressing," "grilled, fried, or poached," etc., wine by glass, half bottle or full, etc.
When the menu is displayed to your online customers, they can make their choices based upon the data you entered, choosing for example, one meal with an appetizer, a steak, well-done, grilled, with horseradish and a baked potato on the side, but holding the onions for one meal, and perhaps a salmon, poached, served with boiled potatoes and no appetizer for the second. On checkout, they will indicate the time of arrival at your restaurant and pay for the food. Your restaurant now has a guaranteed reservation for a predetermined time, allowing your cooks to prepare the meal in advance of their arrival, and having served them efficiently, the table will be free to accept other guests quicker than would normally be the case, increasing turnover and allowing higher income.
